FYLKINGEN ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
THOMAS LILJENBERG
In 2000, Fylkingen started its "Artist
in Residence" project. Here are two articles on installation
projects by Thor McIntyre-Burnie, Chris Watson and Mike Harding
who were Fylkingen's artists in residence during 2001 and 2002.

A PIER - THOR

of a unique site and a special phenomenon, the late Victorian
West Pier in Brighton and it's natural development during
dereliction. The primary point of interest is the interplay
between the pier's current physical state and its function

were invited to Stockholm by Fylkingen with support from
IASPIS. As part of the exchange project Chris Watson and
Mike Harding performed a site-specific sound installation
at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and

of SEAMS (the Society for Electroacoustic Music) presents
their programme MEREAMIS, i.e. "More Electroacoustic
Music in Sweden", which opened national-wide tours
with various forms of electroacoustic music in Sweden.

as the full source material in his phantom broadcast, with

Hz/Fylkingen presents internet art works by international
net artists. This first issue of Hz Net Gallery focuses
on 4 works by the following artists: "Self-less"
by Wolf Kahlen, "A is for an Apple" by David Clark,
"Soundscraper" by Stanza, and "www.nowar.nogame.org"
by jimpunk.
